How to make Luba blade cowers to prewent blade stuck. I use plastic sheet, because it is light, dont need to be perfect and dont make unbalance on disc. You can use aluminium or metal thin shit to make cover, but need to be more precise to make balanced and centered cover

isn`t that much louder like with no cover?!
00:28 My Landroid has a slight raised plastic piece that the blade screw, screws into, this keeps the blades slightly raised off of the the plastic disk. They get very little grass stuck in them, the hole of the blade is round as well and fit snuggly around the plastic screw hole. I would put a flat washer on these blade screws to give a little space and maybe use Landroids blades with a circle hole instead of those blades with the slots.

This is what Husqvarna has done on their automowers for a decade. You'll want to avoid any friction between the blades and the cover or they won't spin out of the properly when hitting things like sticks. A very small washer or spacer of some kind should help as well as a more rigid material.
I'm very surprised Mammotion had no idea to do this as it's critical to mow or the blades will degrade very quickly.
Where did you get the slotted blades, I have the 2 hole blade that are always stuffed with grass
The Luba didn't work for me, as soon as you have corners and edges in the garden it's over. Since it is a Chinese company, you have no right of return and will not get your money refunded! 😤
why not just using longer screws so it has more clearance. I would prefer that option.
What does it matter if the blades are “stuck” in the fully extended position?? The cutting part of the blade is still perfectly exposed and spinning around cutting. I think you’re “fixing” a non-problem.
Have you tried PTFE washers?
what do you think about the side blade guards, they blocked at least an inch of cutting width on both sides.
What would be the ideal thickness of the cover? I’m thinking of using a Teflon sheet
Just yesterday I was thinking of getting a shield laser cut out of aluminum for the same reason. Glad to see it works as planned.
Luba seems to be a pain in the butt.
Husqvarna automower has a metal cover. I have never had the blades get stuck with grass before on them.
Good idea about the cover. Have you thought about putting the blades on ball bearings? The added weight might reduce the run time though
Very interesting. Do you have a comment to say about the cutting quality?
