    From what I see, it acts just like a roomba. You still need a physical perimeter, whether it is a magnetic strip or a fence. I donā€™t see the AI in this. Just a big old roomba with the pattern and avoiding obstacles. Not a bad thing, but not what I would call advanced.

    That neon green boundary magnetic strip is ridiculous! My lawn merges with my neighbor's yard. It would be an eyesore to have all that neon green wire around the perimeter. It should have been GPS guided! I'll pass!

    It might have vision but it's stupid – and so are the designers. Most people have a front garden in the back garden, not nicely designed zones with a tiny path for robotic lawnmowers to traverse. It needs to be able to find its way between the gardens, not just over a path. I've had robotic lawnmowers for over 24 years; I won't be changing to this model.

    How many hours does it take before motor going out?
    Regular lawn mowers have 500 hours plus engine hours and they cost way cheaper than this fancy robotic ones.
    If it going to last only few years it shouldnā€™t cost more than few hundred dollars.
    If it has moving parts it will fail just like push lawn mowers.
    The only benefit Iā€™m seeing with robotic mowers is the ability to control them from anywhere and I donā€™t think itā€™s worth paying thousands of dollars just for that purpose.
    Thereā€™s no way you will get decent cut with šŸŖ’ šŸ˜‚

    No wire but you have to buy magnetic strips and green rings. Limited to 3 zones? What is the cutting width. Also how large an area can it cut? How long does it take to cut being it is random? Will it even cut all the grass in your yard?

    Maybe this is ignorance on my part. I signed up for the pre-sale, hoping I would get more information and reviews on the unit when it came out. All I got was a phone call from Worx asking me for my credit card. When I asked if they could point me in the direction of some more info they told me all they could do was remove me from the list. Just didnā€™t inspire confidence from me.

    I have been using it for about 2 weeks, the first perimeter check (which is mandatory to start using) was a nightmare, i had to try around 8 times to have a successful run, and only after i manually helped it in some spots where it got stuck or lost. The issue is that if fail before complete its perimeter run you have to start all over again. Anyway, after the initial frustration it is working well now, but it is not rare for it to get stuck at some places where i need to manually rescue it and then it continues. I'm satisfied since i did not need to mow my lawn since it started but i programmed it to mow only in the late afternoon / early night which is when I'm at home and can rescue it when it gets stuck. I don't think it could work while I'm traveling.

    Fellow beta tester here, on launch it has a lot of problems with the initial perimeter check. Sounds a little to positive for my liking. Personally I still havenā€™t gotten it to mow the lawn and it runs into walls and the mow strip constantly. I think youā€™d better wait a while before getting this one. Iā€™m probably going to sending mine back.
