Bosch ProCore battery has clever design, but it still fails. In this video I investigate the problem and fix it on the budget. If you want do something similar – here some used parts down below.

Where can i send my Battery Pack for repairing? 😅 i dont own a dot welding machine 😢
Literally cut into battery after saying dont 😂😂😂
Thanks! I wouldn’t have thought to balance out the voltages of the individual cells once I replaced it, so that was really helpful I fixed two Bosch 18V 8ah batteries (that cost $109 each) for about $10 each doing this. Really well done video!
Hello, friend
I have a question.
I'd like to know a green tool to push the battery away
What is it??
Cool! Thanks for letting us know why it is bad to force charging to the maximum without understanding the reason behind the lower full charge. Will look into one of my 18V battery soon.
first this is a great video and well explained! I did a few "all in one" Bosch packs in the past that went great but i have been told that i cant do ProCore as the BMS could "brick" seams thats not treu then !
What type is the spot welder you have used?Look like a totally different from all the usuals.
This batery dont have a balance board by default?
Great work
So what happens if you just let the Bosch charger charge and balance the cells? Shouldn't the batteries PCB be able to balance them out?
Very good video
2:22 Just pry without grinding. The copper strip comes loose, and only leaves behind just tiny pieces of copper. Those tiny pieces are harmless, just spit weld right over and around them. Grinding only risks a thin battery wall and burn-through on your welds later. Do you really want to burn through and ignite the contents?
it failed because they dont last like the fokin piramids
this..replace one or two batteries and not all of them is bollocks…having voltaje doesnt mean the battery will do its job..i have 3 older style that have 3 lights and when i use em they cant hold.more then 1 min…so what if they charge or show full lights? hey re done! replace em all
There is no need to charge it manually…it has BMS that will do the balancing
Copper and nickel – tin have different resistance !
Why you think Bosch used copper?
Copper have temperature resistance lower than nickel and tin !
You can't use nickel or tin for a Bosch akku .. think about it you have a 100w akku and what could happen !
You must reuse the copper but use kapton tape band The housing that is screwed on does the rest!
Ist only my opinion!
saved 50 Eur, charger cost 85 Eur 😏

My battery shows 19v then nothing. Seems to switch off straight after showing a reading. Each cell shows just over 4v. Is this a thermistor fault and how do i change it? TIA
Do you have a video on your spot welder ? To make one or buy one
Bosch procore uses 21700 cells and same error on me. Also has very idiotic thin cable inside the holes you showed that easyly broken while push the cells for to extract. Normally tesla cars uses this size (21700) performance battery but with clever Bms. I would like to say hello to engineers of bosch for this stupid bms system and did only serial connection such kind of performance batteries. (with serial connection if a cell sucks all battery sucks)
So by the time we get all the tools and parts, it's cheaper just to buy a new battery. Thanks!!!!
How long did it take you?
Great Video! Thank you!
Why cant i just use the built-in balancer to balance the battery instead of using a seperate charger
very good learning allways good
Why it was 0,00V? CID worked? If CID it could be bring back to life in outdoors aplications like solar garden lights because it will be less safe whe CID worked.
Where do you solder the orange, white and black wire?
