800.00 that's a no for me buddy, but worx makes good equipment for sure
Will it use DeWalt batteries they need to make a personal pace to work with your speed I wonder if I can cut super deep thick grass over an acre way before batteries go dead
Thanks! You have just saved my time figuring it out as my eyes are no longer able to read instructions with that size of font.
I have an older Worx that uses two 56v batteries. If I'm not wrong, that's even more power than this one. It's a very, very good mower with pretty much the same features you describe here. Unfortunately, they discontinued that line of batteries to favor the power-share 20v.
To much Atlas is abetter by
How durable are the batteries if treated correctly? How much are replacement batteries?
had one of these for a short while very heavy probably nearly twice as heavy as a petrol mower – cuts very well – well built – very expensive – noisy – to me just a mower to show off
Brilliant!
After a ton of thought and research, I went with an EGO. Good video. 👍🏻✌🏻
How heavy is it compred to gas mower? Thanks!
Do the batteries for the 80 volt nitro work on all worx tools?Thankyou!
Just picked this up open box from Worx on eBay as I have had the same underpowered issue with the 40v non-nitro version of Worx mower. The Nitro line of outdoor power tools from Worx is awesome. My backyard is completely empty overgrown from all the rain we’ve had here in California. I managed to do the front but I had to weed whack it down with the Worx 40v weed whacker which worked surprisingly well never bogged down.
"Wasn't long before she was the BOSS!" LMAO! Right!!!
I appreciate the review. Thank you so much.
how many amp hour batteries ?
That's €300 worth of Worx batteries in Ireland. €75 Euro for a 20v 2ah battery. It's daylight robbery. Great tools though especially the brushless "Nitro" range.
How about a review on the TORO 60V max super recycler ❓
I’m curious will this mower stall in high wet grass and what is the torque
Not sure why one would make a review on high voltage mower, but then basically have no lawn for it to cut & show its chops? Taking a few mm off a very low lawn and picking up some leaves could be done by an entry level 18v generic. Good review but just need to have a more meaningful demo.
I purchased an 80v lithium battery mower 4 years ago for just over $500 and love it. One full battery charge can mow 4,000 sq ft in self-propelled mode which is plenty fast. No pulling a starter rope. No more gas cans. No changing the spark plug. No oil changes. A gas mower has more oopmh for really thick tall grass, but the advantages of battery power outweigh that for the few times you need highest HP. One thing to check is to ensure the mower deck can cut the height you want. For example, southern lawns usually need a higher setting in hottest months compared to northern lawns.
I would love to see this mow my thick lawn . Had a 500 electric snapper lawnmower I bought last week. 4 mows and it was done for .
Toro has the bag to mulch lever on some of their models also
Worx the best!
I work evenings, so when I need to mow my only options are to give up part of my weekend, or wake up early during the week and mow before work during the hottest part of the day.
I've been interested in an electric mower because that could open the door for me to mow at night if the mower is quiet enough. And since that would allow more flexibility for when I can mow I would actually be able to mow more often, meaning my yard wouldn't reach jungle status like it does now 😅
You didn't really prove anything. The lawn didn't really need to be mowed, so cutting a half inch of grass didn't tell me anything vs. gas mowers.
Yeah, it's great to have such an electric option – but no one is going o spend 800 bucks for one when they can get a comparable gasoline model for about $450 less. Electric options are only going to be adopted by the masses once reliability and cost approaches that of better gas-powered models!
Can you imagine paying $800 for a push mower!?
I have three electric mowers now. The Greenworks push mower is OK. The Ego push mower is better, had moe adjustability. Finally I have a Cub Cadet lawn tractor and it is amazing how much grass I can mow on one charge, and can even do OK with some overgrown pasture. Electric is the future and getting better every year. Thanks for your excellent review videos!
From Leo: I am happy that people can have electric mowers if they want, but they are not yet superior. I bought a new gas mower in 2010 when I bought this house. I use less than 3 gallons a year. That is less than $15 a year even at today's fuel prices. My neighbor is proud of his top grade battery mower, purchased 2 years ago. It needs new batteries every year. They are over $100, and the disposal of old batteries is hazardous waste. Sounds like we are going the wrong way against the environment, and paying extra for it.
