As the clock runs down and the laps pile on, the tension of the last few years is lifted from our team’s shoulders. The system and the new prototypes were a great success. Now it’s time to let everything sink in, celebrate, and recharge the batteries. They really went the distance and came out closer and stronger than ever. But as it goes in endurance racing, this is only the beginning.
Going the Distance is a documentary series about how Bosch Motorsport developed the hybrid system for the new Le Mans Daytona hybrid prototype class. Here you’ll get exclusive insights from the developers behind the hybrid system of the highly complex prototype race cars. For the first time in more than 20 years, the new regulations allow manufacturers and teams to enter the competitions by using the same car in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the world’s two most important endurance racing series – including the classic 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona, and 1000 Miles of Sebring.
