How To Remove The Body Of A Husqvarna 405X & 415X Automower For Cleaning And Other Repairs | Robot Maniak

How To Remove The Body Of A Husqvarna 405X & 415X Automower For Cleaning And Other Repairs

In this video we show you the process for removing the top cover and the body of a 405X & 415X Husqvarna Automower. This is a simple DIY process that is important to know because it allows you to clean out built up debris between the body and the chassis. Removing the body is also how you gain access to the screws that fasten the upper and lower chassis of the 405X & 415X together. As seen in this video, the 405X & 415X come with a tool that is used to release the body from the joysticks. This tool is stored under the top cover in a compartment molded into the body of the mower. If you lose your fork tool or happen to break it you can use the aluminum fork tool made for the use with the 115H Automower.

  1. Thank you for showing how to remove the cover. At first I tried to take the cover off as shown on older models. I am not the strongest person on earth, but I can generate quite a bit of force. Lucky I didn’t snap anything on my 310mkII. 🙏🏻

  2. Good info, thank ya sir!😊 I'm in the midwest, mine keeps getting hung up on isolated "landmines" of crab grass. Contemplating cutting the lower 1/2" of the body ("skirt") off. Thoughts? 😂it gets stuck on grass😞🙄 you can tell this was designed by college kids with no practical experience.

  3. Hmmm… You seem to hint that there is a lot of maintenance that may need to be done that I never have to do with my gas-powered mower. One would think that they would make the latest and greatest product BETTER than the old products if they want it to continue to sell beyond the initial enthusiast period. Like 3D TV, these too could die off in about five years once the enthusiasts have become bored and have moved on to the next shiny object. When I am paying thousands of dollars for a product, I expect it to be near perfect.
