  1. So with this you actually DONT need a constant internet connection?! So only use mobile hotspot for installation and map the areas then can turn off internet and the mower will work?

  2. No user replaceable battery. So a few years of mowing (maybe!) for 2000! See below for response from mammotion on this: Greetings from the Mammotion support.

We regret to inform you that the model you requested does not support user-replaceable batteries. Replacing the battery for this model is very difficult, and there are no replacement guidelines available for customers. Attempting to replace it yourself could potentially damage internal components and void the warranty.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Have a nice day!

  3. My notes on the LUBA mini AWD 800 that I used for a day

    HardWare issues:

    – A) It didn't mow my garden, which is much less than 800 square meters, in 1 day.

    – B) It ran out of battery and LUBA didn't return to the charging base.

    – C) LUBA stopped in the middle of a zone due to lack of RTK signal.

    – D) The cutting blades are too small, and the grass is often bent and uncut.

My HW proposal solutions for listed issues:

    a) Increase battery performance/size to limit returns to base and charging times.

    b) Improve battery charge estimation and the energy required to return to base (I cannot ask to mom (84yo) to lift LUBA to charging station).

    c) Provide RPK and robotic antennas with better sensitivity or use Lidar or improve the firmware allowing the RPK to be repositioned without redefining the stored map.

    d) 6sigma study to further investigate the correct size of blades as robot speed varies

    LUBA FirmWare Issues:

    – E) The path it follows to cut the grass is strong energy inefficient.

    – LUBA is inefficient to cut the grass in rectangular areas into short slices, rather than long ones, expending more energy because it must turn 180° at least twice as often.

    – F) Inefficient at mowing around trees or bushes.

    – LUBA doesn't make a complete circle around the tree, but instead turns back after cutting a circular section around the tree more times.

    – G) Even in an open lawn, it doesn't go straight from the beginning to the end of the mowing line, but inexplicably, just 2 meters from the end of the mowing area, LUBA turns back and starts a new slice, delaying the last 2 meters. This wastes battery power due to double the rotation change.

    APP issues: (20/oct/2025):

1 – There's no button to indicate that I've moved the RTK antenna. I have to wait for it to notice, the auto detection is slow and in the meantime, I've wasted time and had to rotate the Luba uselessly.

2 – There's no button to indicate that I've moved the charging base (as above).

3 – I want to edit the zone sampled with the robot by straightening out inaccurate paths (example: a zigzag path and replacing it with a straight line) using the phone touch screen.

4 – When I define a zone, the app should alert me about the quality of the RPK signal. I don't want to discover that the signal is insufficient or missing only when the robot is mowing.

5 – I want to be able to designate subzones within a zone and tell Luba to mow one subzone before the next. (Subzones don't have connecting corridors.)

6 – If I lift Luba and place it in a portion of zone A of the garden, it's because I want it to mow close to that portion of the zone, not because LUBA will return to mow from where I lifted it.

7- I could suggest to my luba the optimal order and direction to mow my garden, if you give me the opportunity to do so on the mobile screen.

8- The maximum available computing power (free and with power AI) resides on the user's phone. You must use the customer cell power to calculate the optimal energy-efficient route to cover the lawn mowing time and then download it to LUBA

  4. The 1-2 cm accuracy is incorrect. 2.5 cm = 1". I have my Luba 2 5000H in the best possible location, high above the roof. I only have one 20 ft. tree to interfere with the GPS-RTK overshadowing. RTK is susceptible to wall signal bounce and causes the accuracy to drop to 1" – 4" along walls and fences. I mow every other day for terrific results. The other big negative for nice lawns is the front wheels push down taller grasses mowed at 3". The grass pops back up to over 4" tall in strips. It looks bad along the perimeter mows where the wheels always fall into the same tracks. My Luba 2 does not tear My Kentucky Bluegrass in NE Iowa.

  5. My Luba 1 was damaged. Two of the motors had bad hall effect sensors. I bought another damaged Luba 1. I tested it, and all 4 motors worked.
I swapped these 4 motors into my mower. It was still giving the same hall effect sensors fault. I reset it several times. I contacted Mammotion asking how to clear the faults. They said they wouldn't do that, and I had to send it to a repair shop. From other videos, I would have no idea when I'd get it back, how much it would cost, or if it would even work after.
Maybe you'll get lucky and get your money's worth out of yours. I will never buy another Mammotion product again.

  6. lol 1st drawback about clippings is not a drawback, all mowers will do that. I just used my ride on cub cadet that is very powerful and I waited like 10 days to mow… guess what? My lawn is full of clippings and clumps. It is what it is, after 2 weeks of rain… I read that it is recommended far any lawn mower to mow as frequently as as possible for the best result.

  7. Mine is just plowing my lawn to bits .. you can clearly see where its turning all the time and after a while, the grass is gone. 😢 also its clogs up every day… i live in Belgium where even in summer the grass is always moist.

  8. Incorrect you can set it to mow as often as you like not just once a week. Also incorrect about Wi-Fi you can use it all the time to check the video feed. And of course as I expected you lied in your title there was nothing that was catastrophic. Clickbait
