This didn’t age well.
The only Honda mower I owned was awful. 6 months later the transmission broke. Their engines may be good, but the rest of it is trash.
I used to think that until my second one only lasted 3 years before the deck completely rusted out. And it's protected in a shed. Now i have a mower with a perfectly fine motor that has always started first pull that I can no longer use. I still would have bought another compared to the garbage other mower manufacturuers produce.
Next question is, what to go with if Honda isn't an option anymore? My Honda hrx is still going strong 8 years old but I wonder what the next best value for quality is going to be?

I stopped by a small engine repair shop and asked how often they have to repair battery mowers… they said they would be out of business if everything went battery. Got the battery mower and am very happy.

I heard that I went and got 2 Honda HRX 217 . I believe Honda will start selling them again. America is sick of the Green new deal BS along with climate change lies
I bought one last year kinda on accident. Lowes didn't send me the mower I asked for, so I went to Home Depot & got this one. Was a little bit more than I wanted to pay, but it's been great. (Don't leave gas in it over the winter).
It's okay, but I still feel a Snapper lawn mowers are a better choice.

I have had mine for almost 14 years. I do routine upkeep like oil changes and air filters. It has always started on the first or second pull. It finally has a small hole in the deck from rust but works like new. Best mower I have ever had.

There is no competition for Honda mowers. They are as close to perfect as you can get.
They definitely have great engines
