For me, the key is for it to mow a couple of times a week. My Luba cuts my yard every three days.
I would tend to think that changing your blades more often might help …
How big is that area? Was it possible to map an area bigger than the version number?
Blade are cheap change them more often, agree with you about the screws 😊
It works perfectly on a plot of land without trees. However, if there are trees, it works much less well.
brill review i have been thinking of getting newer model but have simalar issues as you with more of a field than lawn, do you have any trouble with moles causing issues with blades not lasting thanx for any info

I'd note that there is no reason that you couldn't upgrade the Philips head screws to Torx. They're readily available from AliExpress for a few $$.
I have 2 of the Luba 2 AWD 10000 models. They mow a total 3.75 acres between the two. My lawn is spectacular looking now since I got the robots. I love the stripes. I change the mowing angle each cut. These Mammotion mowers, at least in my experience, are bulletproof. I do tend to the undersides a good bit to keep them clean and cutting nicely.

The land is flat and looks fairly benign as a challenge for a robot lawn mower.

What really pisses me off is the fact that the difference between the 1500 and the 5000 model Luba 3 is literally a bit of memory. I have 3000 m2 or more and i have to pay another NZD$2500 than the same mower just to get some more programmable lawn area. No thanks i will mow my lawn until this tech stops being stupidly expensive..
Did you install the RTK sensor/tower?
Can it be given a mowing schedule that allows daisies, clover etc. a chance to flower in between cuts?
How it deals with dog poop?

Thanks for the great review. LUBA-1 is actually brilliant… right up until the Mk-1 RTK decides it prefers being an aquarium. The mower itself cuts well and the no-wire RTK idea is genuinely great. Unfortunately mine is only ~3 years old and I’m already on RTK failure #2. And because LUBA-1 RTKs were not properly designed, and aren’t supplied anymore, I’ve had to go shopping on eBay like it’s a vintage restoration project, not a premium robot mower. Customer support/lifecycle? More like “congrats on your early-adopter museum piece.”
Would I buy another Luba? Absolutely, if my goal was to collect obsolete electronics that can’t be maintained. I expect a lawnmower to last a damn sight longer than three years before it becomes e-waste because a critical part isn’t available. If you can’t supply a basic replacement part after three years, you’re not selling a mower, you’re selling a short-term subscription to disappointment. I’m done. I’d rather pay more for a Husqvarna Automower (NERA/EPOS) because it comes with a proper dealer network and spare-parts support, i.e., a mower you can still maintain in year 4.
There support is great to respond/chat with. it's when they can't answer your question and they need to escalate and have tech get involved, that's when the support becomes TERRIBLE and I mean TERRIBLE!. The Tech departments are what ruined it for me with this robot.
I have the original Luba 5000 and used it for 3 seasons now and it is still going strong!… Amazing machine.
Put a little grease on the screw threads and makes it simple to undo each time

Re the transformer, why be concerned about it's rating before relocating the charger? Just make a little shelter for it regardless, eg out of something from that junk pile nearby.. I wouldn't have let that be a factor at all

Suppport of Mammotion is incredibly good, I think. The only thing missing a SMS when its stuck or taken outside its programmed workarea (theft), those situations should start at least a major annoying sound in the app, but rather email and sms alarms too! The schedular is what made me really let go of the whole mowing issue, once put into place you nearly forget you've got a mower doing the dirty job for you. Until it kicks you for maintenance, even that I don't have to keep track of. My YUKA mower surpassed all my expectations and I even got presented a gift after launching some ideas for improvements at their helpdesk. How cool is that? Don't see other manufacturers doing that.

Hello ! Is the battery removeable / changeable ?
Good on ya, but can it spot bindweed before it broadcasts it over your grass? You can't beat a collection box in some circumstances. Perhaps it can chop bindweed into small enough pieces not to re-grow.

Which model is it? 3000x or 5000x?
Do you also have issues with the rain sensor or with receiving notifications on your phone when alerts pop up? I’ve enabled all notifications in the app but never receive anything — only if I manually check the app. The rain sensor has never worked either, and I ended up with clogged disks after it kept mowing in the rain.
I think there’s still a lot to improve in their app. For example, I can’t change the minimum battery percentage for returning to charge — it always waits until it’s below 15%, even when there’s still plenty of battery left to keep mowing, especially when it’s not far from the base.
Another problem is the way it starts mowing. There’s no option to choose the starting point in a defined zone, so the robot decides by itself, and it’s usually not the best choice. The same happens when it starts mowing the edges at the end of a task — why does it stop at the edge, go all the way back to the base, and then come back to start the edges? That makes no sense.
Overall, the robot is very accurate with zones, but the AWD should work better. In some parts of my garden, even my small Yuka never got stuck, but the AWD does. Really strange.

Great video thanks. A couple of questions. I'm in the US (not that that means anything). I live in suburbia. I have a complex lawn, turns and things. I have a front and back yard front is flat, back is sloped.
1. Can the thing be accurately programmed to handle complex layouts?
2. My neighborhood is VERY safe but I would still never leave this thing out all night or permanently. While I could likely leave the charging station outside, not the mower. Do you leave this thing outside 24/7? It's daily home would be locked in my garage.
how does it handle complex lawns with multiple edges and trees? Also a bog issues for these is batteries, if i can replace them on my own (remove and reinstall) then that would be great.
maybe roll the lawn with lawn roller behind drive on mower to see if you can get it less bumpy as test and you can get video out of it? (have same issue but dont want to buy roller just to find out its not helping)
