Since early 2019 we have offered a way for owners of Husqvarna 430X and 450X Automowers to convert their low cut Automower into a high cut Automower. We offered a kit consisting of the necessary OEM parts from XH model Automowers. This was a popular alternative for anyone that did not want to spend a couple thousand dollars on a new Automower. But since the shutdowns of 2020 and the seemingly never ending supply chain issues, the price for the parts used to properly convert a 430X or 450X Automower to a 430XH or 450XH have risen to the point where the purchase of a new mower is more considerable. As a way to continue helping to support the Automower owners out there looking to raise the cutting height on their 2018 and newer 430X Automowers and their 450X Automowers we go through the list of necessary parts needed in order to safely and properly convert a 430X or 450X in an XH.

Do the new mowers mow in lines or do they randomly choose directions after hitting a boundary? I was watching a review from 3 or 4 years ago and it just randomly went. I'd prefer lines.
Bought my 450x in spring 2016. My good fortune that Dwight (founder Robotic Mower Services) demonstrated and then installed the automower; he has been my service and support ever since. It has been a very good experience; without Dwight it would have been much more difficult. Is it worth it to switch a high cut mower? Many say lower cut makes weed and moisture control more difficult — perhaps. The best lawns I know of are cut at 2.5 – 3.0 inches.
